An awesome response to Rick Perry’s add “Strong”

You may have seen Rick Perry’s add “Strong” by now:

We all know there have been many videos making fun of this (with very good reason since Rick managed to make a huge ass of himself in a very short amount of time). But the following has to be the best response so far:

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m an atheist, but you know there is something wrong with this country when politicians think it’s OK to hate on gays and non believers in ads, as if their magic spirit guide or whatever blessed them with special A-hole priviledges.

Perhaps this is a time to remember the gay and atheists presidents didn’t get us into the war in Irak, the finantial crisis, or turned your morgage into toilet paper.

It took some god fearing vagina penetrators to pull that off.

Maybe we should let christians do what they do best: praying, which clearly doesn’t work, and leave the governing to sodomites and infidels.

Rick Perry may believe in god, but I’ve seen his polls and god does not believe in Rick Perry.

I’m a godless heathen and I approve this message.

Right on 🙂

About spagmonster

The spagmonster is an ex fundy who was raised as a conservative Christian. His father was a preacher and the owner of the churches he would attend when growing up, so he got to see everything from the inside. After being exposed to real world knowledge and science, the spagmonster slowly started to become a non believer in mainstream religions until he started this blog. That´s when he sat down and thought ¨Huh... I think I´m an atheist¨. The deconversion process was complete. Cheers!

“poles” has a bit of a phallic connotation…

  2. Hey, thanks for the correction! 🙂 English is not my first language…
